It would be difficult to convince successful companies to be a part of a scam (Craftsmen and CZero). Even if he were that good of a salesmen (which he isn't or they would have revenue) it would be impossible to fake his way through having working technology when both Craftsmen and Czero were allowed to break the product down (well, probably more accurate to say they had to build it up). What I think went wrong is one or more of the following there is not a multimillion dollar market for market for mobile generation, their product is not performing as advertised, or they have mismanaged their opportunity to bring the technology to market (through bad decisions in funding, not meeting deadlines, improper actions that lead to lawsuits, etc). I think it is a mix of both not big market for the technology and the poor management decisions/practices.
