Great post! Much to think about.

I also think you have set an IHUB record for the number of metaphors in a single post, LOL.

Bio, very good breakdown of the various balls in play with Biogen. It would behoove us to look again at the the abstract on MS being presented by Dr Lisak this week at the 2018 ECTRIMS conference in Berlin. The other "heavy hitter" responsible for this presentation is Dr Amit Bar-Or from UPenn via McGill University in Montreal (remember the 3-71 preclinical conducted there). There is both a connection with Biogen and a number of other Pharmas (several European based) shared by these two leading MS researchers. That both are touting the Sigma-R1 anti-inflammatory benefits of 2-73 speaks volumes to those MS drug companies and investors who will listen. This is a significantly positive step for 2-73 as a MS drug!

Welcome to your seat at the table.

Yes, this is and has been been a chess game played out over a few years. I personally find it most interesting to watch the table observers, mannerisms and comments.

So what’s holding up the deal?

- what board are we playing on? MS game, 273 games, all games (hope #2)
- X , they will never split up for each indication! Sum of the parts is not greater than the whole
- if #3, how does the winning sides players get absorbed into the unified team (a huge and real stumbling block in these games)
- suffice to say, we are in the land of large chess pieces, with large payoffs, large egos and large pride
- is it possible another name is on Rett, timing is everything
- large financial types need to be vetted. They may not appreciate the game, the winning side and the ability to defend the title in an overwhelming fashion

Its most fun to know and observe. What’s most irritating to this table sitter is the play by play calling when a piece is sacrificed in the short term (sort of like ABCs or 123s of chess playing.).

Isn’t WSU in Midtown? That’s a real up and coming area in D-Town

Good luck to all and especially the afflicted!

“AD is waiting until we get early indication from PDD or strike a deal. I still maintain that is why it’s not registered.”

But, the AD trial had enrolled the first patient and PDD has not as far as we know.

Blah blah blah - AVXL is clinical phase biotech. It’s job is to run the trials effectively and show progress and results. All other strategy - chess - analogy are kind of just words.

The rules are simple - plan the execution and execute the plan. CEO does not show both - no transparency and does not have a plan.

Register the trials on govt sites, give updates and it will develop confidence. If product has potential right companies will come automatically - the scientific world is not deaf and blind - they keep watching progress all the time.

Anavex - Setting up the Strategy

: Biostockerclub-Exceptional post and thinking. IMO, we also need to analyze Precision Medicine b/c, IMO, that is where all the AVXL systems leverage is, we have no real financial leverage yet. Hence we are easily ignored. I am hoping that CTAD 2018 A2-73 data demonstrates that the human body (CNS cellular Homeostasis)is the big stick and it is hidden. Will AD patients continue to recover? Learning how to turn on the body on so that it fixes itself (the opposite of "green-fielding")is what PM and medicine should be all about. But, if they did that they put themselves out of business. These are smart people (IMO) they may see Anavex as BP profit anti matter. It will take a long time but it is about to start, not sure we will recognize it when we see it.

Thanks for the great post. I would think Biogen is feeling some pressure on the timing of when they should pull the trigger.

Also, others are most likely taking a hard look at our company, putting additional pressure on their timing.

I'm wondering if Missling is favoring Biogen in some way. Do they have an unofficial wink that says, I'll wait on your decision and won't entertain others. YET.

If so, why would he do such a thing. There's no reason to. So many other fish.

Here Biogen is the focus of your post but Missling's strategy here I believe is just to get Sh!t going and let the chips fall where they may. Yes Biogen is there. If they act good. If they don't still good.

I honestly don't think Missling is concerned about Biogen all that much. If you run your company being preoccupied with how it will affect the chess game then you have lost focus.

Clearly there is pressure on Biogen and the more we progress the more pressure they have on them.

Their large cash position gives them the comfort to wait to see if we actually have something. We have 3 balls rolling and 3 attempts at proving our science. If they wait, they could lose. I think they will act sooner rather than later. Why risk losing out. That is what milestone payments are for. It helps to secure your deal and gives you a way out if the science doesn't work.

Thanks for all that you do for this board. Much appreciated.

Meantime, AMARIN continues to have its clinical trials rolling downhill also after release of top- line data 2 weeks ago from Reduce-It P3 trial. Recall the VA is testing Vascepa in AD, dementia and PTSD in veterans in its clinical trial, link to which is in my avatar above. We continue to patiently hold AVXL as well.

It is Canadian Thanksgiving today.

Thank you Biostockclub...my mind is spinning as I attempt to untangle all your metaphors. And I cannot help but think that it is not only Biogen who are looking at Anavex's platform. At some point I would expect a bidding war. Starting with partnering offers...ending with buyout offers....and great hope for many suffering from CNS diseases!

And thank God for the great gift of the rational minds of scientists who untangle the inner rationality of the Creation. We live in an amazing world which we take for granted!

Great post
My guess as to the "delay" of the RETT trial is not a finacial one, I have a feeling they want to dose more adults and get a better understanding before dosing children.
Although it could be a lifesaver for these girls
It worth noting that when talking about an experimental drug, it may be a bit more difficult with regard to the age of the patients
Tbh I I also bet we would try epilepsy first
But
Imo the science has simply proved itself more promising than expected - but, AVXL has likely chosen to be safe rather than sorry - either way I'm happy with their approach and happy tinder trials moving forward - just a matter of time here I no ;-)
Good luck everyone $AVXL
