#131941 RE: Elan Vital #131916

Elan Vital--Thanks! Well, even DELL's CTO Kevin Kettler that VISTA adoption is going to be driven by the home user and NOT the business user. I believe that Countryboy's great, great Seagate DB35 Hard Drive designed specifically for the CONSUMER MASSES via Entertainment Set-Top-Boxes vividly demonstrates that very point. The Enterprise TPM Trust Infrastructure will continue to be lethargic, methodical, careful. Enterprise will move forward in tiny bowlegged mincing steps. Whereas the Consumer Side will thrust forward like a crazed wild-eyed delirious exponentially growing international mob tumbling over themselves while freely tossing their hard earned money into Embassy managed Seagate Hard-Drives, which are going to be embedded inside all of those newfangled Set Top Boxes!

Dell Predicts Strong Adoption of Microsoft Vista

It may be no more than wishful thinking, but Dell CTO Kevin Kettler says he's "bullish" about enterprise adoption of Microsoft's Vista — and thus about sales of his company's gear. (We can't help but think of another common usage of "bull" here.) One factor that will make Vista an "easy sell-up," says Kettler, is the option to run different versions of the OS depending on the hardware. Companies can buy less expensive versions of Vista for older gear and spring for the costlier versions for new PCs, Kettler says.
