Wasn’t going to bore you, but since you masked, it did not turn out well since it showed I need open heart surgery for at least 3 by passes. Wouldn’t be so discouraging except I’m an at risk subject due to the condition of my lungs as a result my GBS that really messed me up in a lot of ways. But I’m trusting God I’ll make it to Vegas in January.

I'm expecting to see you there. Don't disappoint us. Very Best Wishes.

Invest29. thanks for sharing
A friend had a bypass earlier this year . His existing stents had begun to develop plaque build up restricting blood flow ( layman explanation )
Bypass was a success and now he's doing fine .
Please advise the board on how we might be supportive .
Best of luck

Sorry to hear...Do you need by-pass surgery? I'm sure you will do just fine..IMO EPAs protective functions are better than its its preventative actions...Meaning it gives you a greater safety margin if you have an event
or have an intervention or surgery...

Anyway good luck and God bless...

Invest,

I have a relative who had a MI then got open-heart surgery with two bypasses, and lived 8 more years.

Just FYI

Invest: Definitely envisioning you in LV with us, celebrating! I have had 2 friends recently have quadruple bypasses with risky cardio situations and both are now exercising like never before! I have faith in some of the improvements they're developed for this surgery!

Good luck with your operation. My dad had a double bypass when he was 54 years old. He passed in January this year of lung cancer at age 79. He had 2 stents put in somewhere along the way as well, I don’t remember exactly when but he lived a very full and active life until about 7 weeks before his passing.

I hope everything works out well for you. It did for my dad for 25 years and then it was something else that got him.

Invest:......I had an angiography followed by by a stent in 2001......In 2014, I had shortness of breadth and again had an angiography.....This showed a clogged bifurcated vessel, which needed two stents.....I was advised by the interventional cardiologist that I needed a bypass.....my medical cardiologist, who had previously been an interventional cardiologist, before he gave it up, had been watching the angiography from a T.V. feed from the O.R. into his office.....he called his colleague and convinced him to use stents....I received two stents and have been well since....I take 4 grams of Vacepa daily and exercise on the treadmill a half hour each day.

Lots of folks pulling for you, invest. I can attest to the amazing advances in o modern medicine, having had two surgeries for a perforated colon five years ago. I think/hope your taking of Vascepa will make the event easier to recover from, like JL said it did for his patients.

Have a smooth surgery and a rapid and complete recovery, and we'll look for you at the Amarin gathering.

Please spend a few minutes and listen to a cardiovascular legendary Doctor. Most patients are not informed about Vacepa and nor are they told about this Dr approach

Invest
Good luck with your bypass.

As you recover from surgery please look up Drs. Ornish (UCSF) and Esselstyn (Cleveland Clinic).
While V and CABG will serve you well, altering your diet will radically improve your life forever.

Dr. Ornish has a Medicare approved cardiac rehab program. Look it up and change your life for the better.
Best of luck,
SB
