October 3 was never a set date for anything specific regarding Solaris. It was just the date by which the newly assigned judges had to issue further orders for their cases. For the Solaris case, Judge Foelak (Fox Foelak?) beat the deadline.

Within twenty-one days of this order or by October 3, 2018, the assigned judge shall issue an order directing the parties to submit proposals for the conduct of further proceedings
