The argument could be made, or should be made, that GW Pharma took a food and made it into a drug. Before there was a drug there was a food that is necessary for the human body to function properly.

Deetew: the simple answer is they have been doing this for years (and increasingly) so. Hence, they can.

I think the reason CVSI has not been "shouting it from the rooftops" is that they recognize that FDA is in a challenging place, having recently approved CBD for GW Pharma, while not stopping CVSI and other companies from selling CBD.

Technically, they've been selling a schedule 1 substance at nearly 2000 heath food stores, with little resistance. Go figure.
