Since the beginning of ANDI/UTOP there has been a successful business man (Darryl Green) and a reputable IT company (Cycloides), that have been vocal about there connection with UTOPYA. Way back at CES in January, both Mr. Green and a member of the Cycloides team were present at the show and a picture of the them together was taken in Las Vegas. Since then Mr. Green has been vocal in his support of UTOPYA (see selfie with UTOPYA T Shirt and tweets) and so has Cycloides (Our flagship account article and listed on website). Loudon Owen can be thrown in the mix but he has made it a point to avoid shareholders so lets just forget about him for now. I find it hard to believe that these individuals/company would involve themselves in a penny scam (Let’s forget Jason, Mike and Ian. Not saying they are bad eggs, but for this explanation I’m focusing on the fact that Cycloides and Darryl would do their own Due Diligence on ANDI before getting involved).
Since January much has changed, but what has remained consistent are those two. Until Darryl Green or Cycloides decides to up and leave, I am willing to bet on them. Now I’m not gonna sit here and tell you how great the company has been. I think they have acted like a bunch of jackasses, while neglecting the shareholders they promised to support. Some of their actions and lack of communication are both concerning and frustrating. Watching this PPS sink lower and lower since February is extremely frustrating BUT...the real question is where do we go from here?
For the last few months this thing has been a flippers paradise. Longs have sat back and taken a beating, but the time for UTOPYA to deliver is now or never. The next few months the company will either deliver a phone for sale or they won’t. I have no doubt they have phones (Ilja before his departure even noted that they had phones and the are competitive, that’s a good thing), the question is will they be able to mass produce and bring them to market. ACI sure thinks they are (whomever the hell that is) and they are certainly trying to market them (if posting lame photos on Twitter is marketing, but whatever).
So basically my conclusion is this. We’re down, way down, but there is no reason to tap out with two minutes left in the game. Why the hell would I sell my shares now, I’ve waited for nine months. The company said 3rd/4th quarter for phones and it at least appears that they are “getting ready” to sell them. So why would I bow out now at this low PPS. It makes no sense. Time to be a hero or a zero. No phones by October/November then it will be time to write that apology letter I talked about. Until then, it’s sit back and watch the show.
