I watched the interview again on CNBC website. Evan Bayh said his wife is getting immunotherapy and just finished 33 days of chemo. She is being treated at the Brain Cancer Center at Duke by Dr. Friedman. Does anyone know if there is any DCVAX connection to Duke. I know they have gotten publicity about using viruses to treat brain tumors.

Susan Bayh's surgery was described in the media as having been an emergency one. Perhaps wherever she had the surgery, they didn't save the tumor? Which of course would just be the first step. Then the family would have had to have gotten compassionate care approval to make the vaccine.

Maybe that's why she's a Duke? I can't imagine they'd be treating her with DCVax there. It was not a medical center in the trial so they wouldn't have the equipment or the training to give it there either.
