Fully agree that there is no excuse for not replying. I’m not a sales person, but it is only common sense that you treat every potential customer as if they were they were your best customer, because you never know what person or company is going to be the next big contract.

The only reason I can think of is that there might be an area that is too thick to achieve adequate cooling rates to prevent crystallization. If that were the case, though, I can't imagine that they would just ignore your inquiry instead of telling you about the technical problem. That is why I wondered if they really want to produce anything.
