But what I can say, is a proffer is a story. Secondly, it is all embellished.
And I don't know if you have ever been in court recently, but I have. Apparently I was meeting with a colleague of mine in Pasadena, CA and they moved offices. I forgot, and was in a rental car and not mine on the 210 Freeway. I changed lanes and got off the freeway abruptly.
Well, Ponch and John CHiPs (California Highway Patrol) pulled me over and suggested and ticketed me for talking on the cell phone as a distracted driver.
Well, GUESS WHAT, I contested it, and took them to trial. I paid $$$ just to win versus paying the ticket in the mail.
Do you know how I won?
THE COP LIED under oath.
Wanna know how I caught him....GUESS...the judge was pissed at him...case dismissed.
Just an example of embellishment in a court room and by the way, proffering occurs in an office, not a court room.
