This darvish signing as I expected is a major overpay and now is exceeding my expectation as an unmitigated disaster. I still don't get why the cubs just didn't resign arrieta.
Ouch! They need to call the Sox about Big Game James. Aside from a few blowups this year, he has been pretty consistent eating innings with quality starts. Total losses are more about Sox not scoring for him, rather bad pitching. Take out those four really bad outings and his ERA would be under 4. Would be a great add for a team like the Cubs, as he has post season experience and they could just give up a couple of young 18-20 YO's to get him.
