Classic use of call options is to buy them in anticipation of exercise with cash in the future while taking advantage of a low current price point. This is not advice as I am sure you are most capable in your accumulation timing. However it strikes me as congruent in time as one would have exactly seven days to cover August $2.5 calls as they would be put to the holders after close on Friday. However it would be rather dangerous as AVXL MMs tend to attempt to push the share price below the exercise price going into expiration to not have to buy stock to make good on the naked calls sold to the market. That makes these next few days good timing to accumulate all else being equal. The longer term months are looking tasty at current prices.
