Franz1969, imagine the cost savings of war if our troops were TRAINED on a system that would help keep them alive, well and in touch with the citizens of the country they are in.

A lot of the issues with Iraq come in how the soldiers treat and interact with people of other countries. Our soldiers are being ask to be diplomats on the ground. Virtra's systems can help with this.

There is a documentary called "Operation: Dreamland". It paints a picture of the type of soldier we have fighting in Iraq. It sheds light on how our military ground tactics cannot win battles while trying to be diplomats and policemen. The kids over there need better training.

Franz,

The miscalculation in all this is that much of this cash goes back into the economy as "wages for americans".

This "it cost everyone 6,000" calculation reminds me of joke proofs that "there are no spare hours in a year".

It only has the full cost if all of that money is:
a: burnt
b: spent on overseas services

For example: The medical bills are keeping a doctor somewhere in a job. That guy buys a house, keeping a construction worker in a job. The construction worker buys food, keeping the farmer busy, and round and round the money goes. Much of it comes back in taxes.
