OT- Newly. We could have wonderful meals together.<VBG>
Sounds like my prefered diet. Funny, my wife of 15 years feels that I need more and makes these big meals. My favorite meal is Celery with peanut butter, apple slices, a few slivers of cheddar cheese, and some seedless grapes. Water is by far my drink of choice. I too am very near my weight when I got out of the service, although I think a few fat cells has replaced some muscle. My wife is a vegatarian and I can't eat anything with gluten so the salad thing works out great.

Good advice, Newly. My brother, who was on blood pressure medication since high school, was able to stop the drugs in his 40's by not eating anything from a cow. He dropped a bunch of weight too and says he feels great.

Newly, Tks. The medication is barely required. I have come a long way from where I was 4 years ago when I started the medicine. I actually think my old Dr. was mad because I got better. I think he was disappointed I managed to avoid taking any Cholesterol drugs just by making a few sinple changes in my diet.<G>
I do eat a lot of Salad and cut way back on the beef/pork products. I never was a salt-a-holic like so many are. I rarely even touch a salt shaker.
I am going to visit some friends in Louisiana soon so I may have to start with the fruit/veggie diet when I get back!<g>

Newly, good advice for some people. I eat as much as i want of anything i'm hungry for and still weigh what i did in high school. If i followed your advice i'd be a bag of bones. Metabolism dictates ;)
