Yes, I think the news sources that don't properly vet fake news from real news should be held responsible.
That's why I call out globenewswire.com for the piss poor news agency they are every chance I get.
Globenewswire.com should be like marketwired.com and have verified accounts set up for each public ticker that wants to use their service. News should only be allowed to be paid for through and disseminated from the verified account.
No news should ever be published that isn't properly vetted first.
I dont think its far fetched to think that these agencies should take some of the responsibility ??
Perhaps they should, but GlobeNewswire evidently isn't. They ought to be deeply embarrassed, given that they're owned by the Nasdaq, but they don't seem to care.
