Video, internet, and phone lines are all carried using DOCSIS 3.0 or 3.1. For residential as well as business customers. I'm not sure you can rule out revenues from video or phones.

ChanBond v. MSOs, C.A. 15-cv-00848, et al, District of Delaware (RGA). On September 21, 2015, ChanBond filed suit against several MSOs alleging infringement of three US Patents. Certain of our customers have requested that we provide indemnification. The complaint requests unspecified damages for infringement and injunction against future infringement. To date, no evidence of infringement or damages has been introduced. It is premature to assess the likelihood of an unfavorable outcome. In the event of an unfavorable outcome, ARRIS may be required to indemnify the MSOs and/or pay damages for utilizing certain technology.

And if they keep delaying a trial all that’s going to be left is scraps off the Master’s table. Then again, table scraps are better than nothing… I suppose!

I am solidly in the camp of a target price to sell. Very few technology based infringement cases have gone the distance to court awarded damages, and then have gotten paid. There are always appeals, and if the patent holder settles for cents on the dollar, then there is a settlement. Most of the decent money earned has been in the run up to court- always remember that when deciding when, or if, to sell.
