I don't know, people like to excuse this slow product acceptance by comparing it to plastics and aluminum. Arguing against that is the fact that way back then there was no internet, there was no instant social media, heck when I went to work in the Pacfic Rim, we communicated by Western Union, fax machines were just getting started, they burned the letters on paper which lasted about a week. And there were not that many engineers around. Everything was slow. Today you can google anything in the world, 24/7, in a few seconds, from anywhere. Aluminum went ballistic
in WWII, why not BMG with all the $billions spent just on military technology around the world. Will say it again....things just are not adding up.
