Interesting note about the tv show "Mr Ed"...
I heard that Alan Young, who played Wilbur in the series, was in real life mute. He couldn't utter a word.

Viewers never caught on that Mr Ed, in addition to being a talking horse, was in fact also a ventriloquist.
