HDG. Get your LDL checked ...seriously .

Your total cholesterol is 278. ??? ...... So a little challenge for you

If you know your TC is 278 and your TG's are 185 and your HDL is 51 ...can you calculate your LDL using this info ?

Your TC at 278 is higher then mine has been for many years !

TC=LDL+HDL+TG/5......I'll let you do the math

HD, you can calculate your LDL (your MD should know)

LDL = TC- HDL- TG/5

so if you measured HDL just in your last blood draw, then you have

LDL= 278-51-185/5= 190 (which is quite high)
