ssk, I'm not saying the trades were equal. I am saying the players the Royals got for a strong relief pitcher probably won't amount to anything more than AAA filler, or maybe a bench player for a few years. The Mets may have ended up with less than that for a similar, maybe a touch better player. But neither team got much in the end. And your expectations for getting an grade A prospect for Familia was a stretch.
the Mets do have the cream of the trade deadline possible deals in Degrom, he really deserves a solid return. I hope the Mets get a good deal for him, but hey do need some healthy competition, hopefully there's at least one other team then the Yanks that may be going after Very High Quality starting pitchers.
