It is definetly a gm issue, if you seen how bad this guy has drafted over the years you would know it is a gm issue. And quite frankly ownership gave him money this offseason.
He decided it was in their best interest to get rid of TC a average manager to bring the bozo manager MC in here.
He spent 2/14 million on Anthony Swarzak he has been an unmitigated disaster. He is pitching to a 7.56 era, and was on the dl for over two months. And too be honest I wish he would go back on the dl.
He bought back Jose Reyes for 2m. Disaster. Reyes is hitting 177.
He bought back Jerry Blevins for 7m. Guess what disaster. He is pitching to a 5.01 era, but what is even worse is he is a lefty specialist that allows lefties to get on at a 426 clip against him. yes 426.
spent 3/39 Million on Jay bruce, bruce has hit 212, and hit 3 homers in 236 pa. the guy drove in 17 rbis in like 2 1/2 months hitting in the cleanup spot. and now is on the dl. Another disaster.
Spent 2/16 Million on Jason Vargas. Vargas is pitching to a 8.6 era, and has been on the dl twice. The thing I like about Vargas though his his ability to get you off to a good start. His 16 era in the 1rst inning is a mark of another great signing.
Spent 2/18 Million on Todd Frazier. Yes Frazier was never on the dl before he was met in his career ever. the guy has been on the dl twice. And is hitting 217. That is the best signing he made. The guy has a 300 obp for crying out loud.
So let me recap he spent 46 million this year on this and threw money down the drain, is that the owners fault that he took 46 million and made it disappear. Now ownership is terrible at the deadline by not throwing in money and getting lousy returns and not going the extra mile so they are not innocent either. And the manager he hired is one of the dumbest baseball men to walk the field. Plus they are great at PR, how in the world is Ces back 1 day and already going for and MRI, and they acted like they had no clue about the heal and stuff. I mean you just can't make this stuff up this organization is just terribly run and at this point I'm convinced they will not be competitive any time soon with this cast of characters making the decisions. Simple as that. All is just my opinion, and I could always be wrong though.
