It's obvious the phones were ready at CES.

If they had working phones at that time then the company would have had their own booth at the show and wouldn't have waited another 5 months to unveil them. Not to mention that any software they may have had would be borderline outdated by now...

There was no phone at CES, they were just there sight-seeing, as you can tell by all of the "tourist-y" photos. Just like the Barcelona show...
