Thanks Senti - That all sounds very reasonable (first time I saw details of what was said at ASCO). Taken in context, I do not really see support based on what was said for the idea that the trial will go on until the last or next to last patient dies. MB seems to be simply indicating they are not there yet because they want the censored patients in the pub (from March 2017) to get further out in time to show the full effect (something we all seem to understand is a good thing). Since they had not seen the 2018 data yet when they presented at ASCO, they could not really be any more specific - I see nothing nefarious in that. Just scientists stating the obvious and being cautious in going beyond the data. The trial data are now at least another 14-15 months further out, so it seems there is a pretty good chance that the censors have moved far enough to the right that they could unblind in the near future. Just my take on it.
