Who would run the single payer system? I would not trust the government. JMHO

The U.S. needs a Single Payer Universal Healthcare system that puts people before profits.

Regardless of how it is done or who drives it, the U.S. Healthcare SYSTEM is a complete/total failure and must get cleaned up. The term Renaissance keeps coming to mind. All the best in hopes we just keep this ball rolling, but IMO it will not be easy.

Single Payer Universal Healthcare system DOES NOT put people before profits. That is rubbish.

Single payer puts the govt's budget before the people. Americans would never accept the denial of care or endless waiting in a UK style single payer system...and the UK system is falling apart.

That said, much reform is needed. Swiss type system or Taiwan system are worth a look. and costs must be contained by making it for Americans only.
