I don't believe either have ever said that TA is worthless, those are your words. However, yes, his method is fundamental.
He has also admitted to missing quite a few stocks over the years because he didn't understand them.
I'm sure it doesn't hurt him that he has inside info and, unlike a mutual fund, is not required to report all his buys....and once he does, other people follow him pushing up the price.
