They may be glad they sold! I let go of part of a couple of great performers myself, today---to enable my adding to NGL. I got lucky as the positions I lightened have yet to bounce back. But they will, I think, and for that reason alone, I didn't liquidate anything.
Today is a lucky day for some of us, for sure. But there will be times we have to let go of some NGL, too---just not now because we recognize it's on an upswing. I wouldn't be too quick to assume the guy on the other side of the trade has made a mistake. I've made my share of mistakes, that's for certain! It's all in how we average things at various resting points along the way, wherever the journey brings us.
Quite a challenging day for all of us, I should think.
Amazing that we're at above the $13 threshold. That's my take, anyway. And now, as we are about to enter the final hour of the session, I can only wonder what the day's setup will be for tomorrow's trading. NYC brokers are probably about to leave the cocktail lounges now and get to work. lol
