#151896 RE: Researchfyi #151834

"Seems like LQMT just cannot get past the resume stage with many of its clients. I wonder why? Is it the spelling or the product?"

I think you'll find your answer with Connexions, the company hat was going to revolutionize tendon repair using LQMT. That promise and optimism just sort of faded away. Funny, ConMed has the same exact story line, just a different product. Or the "large European manufacturer of automotive pressure sensors". Or NASA. Or so many other names that have been thrown around.

I think the answer lies with all the Crucible patents and research that have never been acted on and some of those hopes have now lingered to the point that their patents are so old that they are on the tail end of their protections and uniqueness.

I think the answer lies in the purchase of a new building. A building that has a useless overhead crane system, the thought of electricity for production machines was an afterthought proceeded by the importance of the offices getting a makeover, and does not have a loading dock. It's like the LF building had no intentions of being a production facility and was purchased just because it was a building in the area of where the employees wanted to work; not because the work dictated the building requirements.

I think the answer lies that even though some known sales occur (i.e.the knife, or the guitar pins, or the thumb drives) that when the earnings are reported there is no notable bump that can be pointed to. Even though the report is filled with red ink, it's not like you can point to Martin revenue offsetting at least a little bit. And for that matter, LQMT reports some $75K of revenue quarterly that absolutely nobody (even with the DD done here) can show what was sold or where that money came from....every 3 months.

As you put all this history together you'll keep hearing the same stories over and over again. The names of the potential customers and their potential products change; but what happens is that they just fade away only to be replaced by a new company with a new hopeful product. And by reading the posts here; the popular opinion is that you should bite hard on this news and invest while the stock price is still so low.
