Kirkland Lake Gold Ltd. (TSX, NYSE: KL; ASX: KLA) expects to join the ranks of companies producing 1 million gold ounces annually in 2021. The company projects output of between 740,000 and 800,000 ounces of gold in 2019, then 850,000 to 910 ounces in 2020, followed by 1.005 million in 2021. Much of the growth is expected to come from the Fosterville mine, with the company projecting 500,000 ounces from here in 2020. For 2019, company-wide all-in sustaining costs are expected to be in a range of $630 to $680 an ounce. “Kirkland Lake Gold is poised to achieve substantial production growth and improved unit costs in 2019,” says Tony Makuch, president and chief executive officer. “We will also continue to invest in exploration and additional production growth, with our plan being to reach 1 million ounces of annual gold production as early as 2021.”
