The most they can claim in the end will be that they were "mislead" into planting an illegal crop.

You need to understand. they are suing the county who has the SOLE right to determine whether and or how MJ can be planted.

Were I the defendant, I would counterclaim the costs to destroy that illegal crop, specially in light of the new pesticide testing rules that had gone into effect. The crop, being open and unprotected, was a breeding ground for pests that couldn't be controlled without destruction and a threat to other legitimate crops in the county unless destroyed.

And remember also that some of the plaintiffs have had run-ins with the county before....including alleged fraud on the part of those plaintiffs

This is Dabney and another share selling scam using shareholder money on a doomed quest in order to enrich himself.
