I’m talking about their greenhouse, not an indoor grow, light distance matters regardless. You said they were on a pulley system, so you agree distance matters.

How do these leds affect the plant photophysiology more than the sun? On instagram they said it was for shadows, which makes more sense, but still useless at such a distance with so few lights. They’ve added far less lights than they said they would in January too, and money’s not a problem, they’ve borrowed several hundred thousand this year.

At 8 feet up they are a useless charade just like the entire company.

As I mentioned some time ago , LEDs are not needed when the Sun is the primary light source.
The plants get everything they need from the most complete and powerful light source available on the planet.
The way the LEDs are deployed in SIGO's operation makes them of no value except to extend the daytime length whilst in Veg phase.
They are no use for plant growth, as Chemist stated the Inverse Square Law takes care of that, approx 8 feet above the canopy is a waste.
'Daytime' hours extension is probably what the construction lamps are being used for also, they are small, cheap and will work with 35w lamps.
The construction lamps maybe fitted with LED lamps just not LED Grow Lamps.
