It makes a ton of sense, you need to keep austin up here, because he has killed lefties. and that is his job to continue to do so. I personally would of kept torreyes, and got rid of walker, but that is just me.

So much for season 2 of the "Toe-Night" show.

The Toe-Night Show has been put on indefinite hiatus.

In a surprise move, the Yankees sent beloved utility man Ronald Torreyes to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre before a game against the Angels at Yankee Stadium on Saturday.

Between Torreyes, Walker, Frazier, Austin and Drury (if he ever gets healthy) I would expect the Yankees to make a trade to clear the backlog for starting pitching.

Yep! Think at this point, he is far more valuable to the team than Walker. That said, maybe since they called Bird up so quickly, they first want to make sure he can hit for even a semblance of an average and also the ankle is really healthy If he proves to be healthy and hitting and Walker still pretty much struggling, they could DFA Walker then and bring Torreyes back up.
