Absolutely false. DMC are not in the business of checking LtFu or Dropouts.

This could be done so the company could either feed off of any shred of positive data or stopped for futility for lack of evidence of any clinical benefit

AMRN would not have continued with this study and cost without a sense that they would succeed.

Based on this 'logic', 100% of studies would be successful, which is obviously false. How many studies ran until completion and failed?
