That is nice information, thank you! I will have to disagree with a few points in this statements though.

This assumes that the account holder has had no chances to average down by purchasing new post-split shares, which they have. I am included in this!
This also implies that every account holder post-split has a negative account balance, again which I can assure you it is just not the case. I am one of those also!

No, the account would show 100 shares. Anyone who was under 100 shares post split got extra shares to make 100.

I had 50 shares post split. I now have 100 because of the 50 free ones they game me.
