That is nice information, thank you! I will have to disagree with a few points in this statements though.

that account is now at a loss of over 15% with never a chance to profit from the start of new issue trading.



This assumes that the account holder has had no chances to average down by purchasing new post-split shares, which they have. I am included in this!
This also implies that every account holder post-split has a negative account balance, again which I can assure you it is just not the case. I am one of those also!
