Steve was originally taken in by portrush. It was he that convinced Steve to get involved by feeding him the same bs fantasy crap he has been pumping for over a decade.
Steve, at the time was pretty convinced that shareholders were owed something, and so he got involved. I'm not sure which cmkx fantasy board he first joined, but it wasn't one that followed the facts at all, just the fiction.
He was "enlightened" before he took the position, but didn't fully believe it at first. He learned pretty quickly though once the "portrush" chain was broken.
I believe Frizzel did warn him.
