I liked the comment about the Aussie gov to be reimbursing Anavex for the trial. That was unexpected... Wonder how much that is?

Con Call was not what I expected today.

What did you expect?

Lots negative posts seemingly based on expectation of 'surprise' advance trail announcements?

I expected nothing other than a reiteration that trials are expected to start during H2 2018.

I also expected to see about the same cash balance with last quarter's spend more or less topped up by accessing the LPC agreement, which the 10Q confirms.

To me the science remain intact and increasingly supported. That the Aussie AD patients will now continue on A2-73 for an additional two years can't be negative. When was the last time patients, caregivers and physicians requested extended use of a Phase 2 AD drug?

Missling's answer to trial cost and it's limited spread out effect on cash balance was also a useful, but at least for me not unexpected. I do think with trials started and share price recovering, we will see further tapping of LPC, including the 2nd trunche of $50M coming in play.

I encourage everyone to listen to this lecture UNECOM Biomedical Research Seminar: Sigma-1 Chaperones for the Treatment of Pain, Neurodegerative Disorders and Substance Abuse. James E. Barrett, Ph.D., Dept. of Neurology, Drexel University College of Medicine

Without any new announcements (e.g. partnership for one or more pipeline drugs or something else unexpected) prior to trial start the share price will likely drift sideways or even drop further. This means the lid on LPC is closed for the time being, which will likely mean a cash balance for around $21M for the next 10Q period.

The question for investors is then whether to sell some or all, even at these low prices, and hope for a cheaper entry or stay put avoiding to be caught by surprise news while out of one's $AVXL position.

As for my own approach, I have been trading a proportion of my position in and out over the last 3 years. At present holding.
