i actually missed what i was doing after a few months..... you can take the girl out of law enforcement but you can't take law enforcement out of the girl.

now that i know what retirement tastes like - i'll try to have a better plan than 'not much of a plan' because I already had the offer to return before I was even out the door....and 'that' was the plan. they were calling me 6 weeks after i left to see if i was ready yet - told them to go away for awhile.

if i 'suck it up' for 12 months or so - i can pay off my new air conditioning, new furnace, 2 updated bathrooms, an updated kitchen and a new roof in my 20 year old house - and not touch retirement. one year is nothing compared to the 33 i already did....and thus far AMRN hasn't behaved in the manner that I would like to accomplish my goal.
