Obama acted Trump dragged his feet.

I disagree. Obama laughed at Romney when Romney said Russia was our biggest problem.

Then there was this.....

AND.............

Obama team was warned in 2014 about Russian interference
But subsequent events — including Russia’s interference in the American election through hacks of the emails of the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton campaign Chairman John Podesta, among other intrusions identified by U.S. intelligence — have left many in the former administration wondering whether they could have done more.

And what about this while Obama sat and watched?

A detailed look at how Russia annexed Crimea

The operation to seize Crimea began on February 27, 2014 when an unidentified task force captured several government buildings including the parliament in Simferopol.

Within a month, Putin signed a treaty to annex Crimea and has since then turned the peninsula into a Russian forward operating base.

And then he was too scared to arm those in the Ukraine, so they could protect themselves.....

Defying Obama, Many in Congress Press to Arm Ukraine

WASHINGTON — With the peace process stalled and violence escalating in Ukraine, a bipartisan coalition in Congress is defying President Obama and European allies by pressing the administration to provide weapons to the embattled nation.

Citing the attacks on Ukraine as “one of the most shameful and dishonorable acts I have seen in my life,” Mr. McCain said in an interview that the response so far to Russia’s aggression had been insufficient. “They are not asking for a single boot on the ground,” he said on the Senate floor Thursday, adding, “I am a bit taken aback by the vociferous opposition” to weapons help.

So I disagree, Obama was a coward when it came to dealing with the Russians and Putin.

"I have been much tougher on Russia than Obama, just look at the facts. Total Fake News!"

Has Donald Trump 'been much tougher on Russia' than Barack Obama?

Our ruling

Trump said, "I have been much tougher on Russia than Obama, just look at the facts. Total Fake News!"

There’s broad agreement that on election meddling, Obama’s actions — while arguably insufficient to the threat at hand — were
stronger than Trump’s. On a broader geopolitical level, there has been a significant degree of consistency between the Obama and
Trump administrations in actual U.S. policy, and even a few examples where Trump has gone further than Obama did. That said,
Trump’s own record of Russia- and Putin-friendly comments have sent contrary messages about U.S. policy toward Russia.

We rate Trump’s statement Mostly False.
