Obama's Russia policy was based upon his dovish personality and the fact that he was elected on the wish of the American people to ease back from GWB policies which deeply cost the U.S.A. And millions overseas. Obama respected that wish.

Obama's foreign policy left something to be desired. He, in running his show, could have acted differently in some cases, no argument there. Trump, in 'leaving it to his generals', and others deserves minimal credit for much of his administration's actions.
You better be careful in equating Trump's attitude and actions toward Putin with Trump's administration's attitudes and actions toward Russia.
To suggest Obama was a coward is just stupid on your part. Maybe a cowardly statement as that helps to build your own self-esteem up.
