The long-term value of the acquiring company's stock will appreciate. If an acquisition goes smoothly, it will be good for Aurora in the long run, which it did. Some reasons why there is not an immediate upward movement is:

1) Aurora paid a premium for CMED.

2) Additional expenses that were incurred to make the purchase.

3) Assimilation problems incorporating CMED operations to work smoothly with Aurora's.

But it will turn out fine.
