The insight comes from a very personal place.
I know my body better than my doctors do. To them side effects just seem to be letters on a page. To me it is the source of a bothersome tremor and 2-73 is my only hope for reversal of this side effect of Buspirone.
I no longer trust the judgement of my Drs. I read up on side effects of every new medicine and do my own risk/reward analysis.
Due to adhesions and autonomic dysfunction I have a messed up digestive system. I was doing pretty well a few months ago and I let my Dr talk me into using Fosamax. My digestive health started declining. Three weeks ago I puked up my last dose of Fosamax. Have started taking neutraceuticals for bone support and digestive health and just starting to become normal again.
I was also prescribed SSRI's for depression for years. Couldn't convince the docs that they were bad for me so they coaxed me to try every new one that came out for my "depression". Well friggin' depression is to be expected when dealing with TBI. Serotonin Syndrome does not help. NEVER MORE!!!!
Unfortunately, many people don't have the ability to do their own research on these drugs, they trust their doctors. A more holistic approach from the medical community is long overdue.
