Thanks for posting your notes about the conversation with the CEO.
They are encouraging.

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but it is his job to present things in a positive light. In the past I had had similar conversations with CEO's and later discovered to the detriment of my wallet that there were things that were painted in a most positive light that had a dark side that wasn't mentioned.

I have no opinion on whether that is the case here or not. I simply don't have enough information to make a valid opinion at this point.

We will find out as more time passes whether he was portraying an accurate picture or painting a rosy one.

I'm hoping for accurate.

I walked away feeling there is a bright future ahead of us. I also understand that this will take more time than many of us expected. However, they are marching forward with their eyes on the prize.

Like many here, I anxiously awaited news thinking something big was about to happen any minute. Still could but the anxiously waiting has turned more into patiently waiting. These few years have tested our patience to great lengths. News will come when they are ready. He doesn’t want to look back and say. We should have, could have but didn’t.

Jonjones reports Missling expressed the following:

What, biologically, might this mean? Clearly, to those familiar with how medical experimentation is carried out at the earliest, lowest levels, it means that a bunch of lab rats and mice (“murines”) have had their genes messed with, giving them human diseases (“transgenic murines”); whereupon they have slurped Anavex 2-73 in the water spouts in their cages. Lo and behold, their human diseases have been attenuated or completely treated.

Anavex will be far bigger, more medically transformative than envisioned solely on the presently targeted conditions. And, not only expansive medical transformations. Veterinary applications in the massive livestock industry are likely to ensue. Restoration and support of cellular homeostatic processes in any number of cells and tissues, in multiple species, is very likely with the several Anavex molecules.

I applaud the young post-docs who have begun their research careers with transgenic murines, testing any of the Anavex sigma-1 receptor agonists. Good publishable, career-enhancing papers will emerge.

Sounds like good progress developing, and more time remains for wall street trading to toss the share price up and down as they've been doing. But having more confidence in the science and the company is very positive, while we wait and ride the price roller coaster some more.
