#186163 RE: Eli's Gone #186161

This was a great catch by Jackie Bradley Jr who I still can't believe he has not won a gold glove. This being in right field it probably wont count to his CF fielding stats.

BOSTON -- Until Mookie Betts left the Red Sox's 10-3 win over the Orioles early on Saturday, forcing a shuffle in the Boston outfield, Jackie Bradley Jr. hadn't played right field since 2015.

But it didn't look like it.

Bradley made a spectacular catch on an Adam Jones line drive in the sixth inning, a catch that Statcast™ gave him an 8 percent chance of catching. It was his first 5-star catch this season, according to Statcast™; his five 5-star catches last season tied him for second most among all outfielders in 2017.

"I saw it going toward the gap, and I saw it was pretty low," Bradley said. "The only way I was going to catch it was to leave my feet."

As low as the line drive was, it was remarkable Bradley didn't injure his wrist snatching it from the grass.

"The key, when you're that low to the ground, is just making sure everything is straight and extended," he said. "Thankfully, when I tend to dive, I tend to go limp. You don't want to have anything on your body pretty tight because that's when things go bad."
