Everything I read about the Polymer of ours says it takes much less power to turn the light on and off.
Think cool, Dude, not power - cool and super fast. "Speed is power," boxing analysts love to pontificate but it doesn't fit easily with the human behemoths that seem capable of fighting a speeding locomotive.
I was shocked the first time I saw a super computer being built by a consortium of the Six Dwarfs hoping so to meet Japan, Inc.'s Fifth Generation terror set to eat the planet in a different era.
It was so small - and most of what was there was plumbing for the liquid nitrogen to cool the mighty mite.
Time and reality have left the Fifth Generation as well as the Armonk Monster and the Six Dwarfs a fairy tale like it always was but the real IBM is still around and probably slobbering to get its hands on company that is taming the imaginary pieces of light.
Let them slobber away, I say. If there have to be monsters, let it be LWLG.
