I think shorts are really wanting to cover, trying to shake out retail.

Volume is low...I think it's technical players & speculators seeing that there's other (better, in the short term) places to put their money. The reality at the moment is that AVXL is just another sinking small-cap spec that has had no good news in a really long time.

Co has not delivered anything in 6+ months except promises - so surprised that bottom is not falling

AVXL is not being attacked. Rather, the share price is finally starting to reflect the reality of failure to deliver on key catalysts and mismanagement and severe damage to credibility. Serious investors staying away in droves. Given the price action, I suspect actively managed funds are sellers. We'll know more when the institutions file their March 31 filings. May 15 is the last day 13-F filers have to file their March 31 holdings.
