Hicks was supposed to play yesterday and today in Scranton=--then join the Yanks in Beantown---now it looks like probably Wed....

Center fielder Aaron Hicks, DL’d the day after suffering a very mind intercostal strain on Opening Day, has been insisting for several days that he’s 100 percent.

The Yankees finally agree and they’re farming out Hicks on Monday for a minor-league rehab game for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, which is home for a 6:35 p.m. game against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.

Hicks will be eligible to come off the DL to play in Tuesday night’s series opener in Boston, but the Yankees probably will force him to play two rehab games.

“Hopefully by the middle of the week he will be back with us,” manager Aaron Boone said on Sunday.
