#152099 RE: jumpin monkeys #151912

My great-great-great-granddaddy told me all about how the first telephone/telegraph co. started. They told everyone to telegraph or call their friends, neighbors, and relatives, and tell them how great this new invention was.

EXCEPT, no one HAD the contraption. True, word of mouth helped, but it was new, and people just wanted one. Or NEEDED one.

Same thing with rural electrification.

See, FIRST you have a good product that people need or want, then people see that product in use and WANT one.

Pretty much everyone already KNOWS their are smartphones available, and everyone that wants one has one.

U realize these guys are not breaking any new ground, they're trying to grab a small part of market share in some of the hardest geographic areas in the world to be going after it.

$39 - $99 smartphones with razor-thin margins, many probably sold on a layaway payment plan, doesn't even sound good on paper.

Doubtful they'll hit their H2 goal of $100,000 revenue in 2018.
