I'm not sure I would. There've been some genuinely successful OTC companies. Ones that really did list on the Nasdaq. But they're few and far between, and a few went bad in the end. There was, for example, Pegasus Wireless. A total scam from inception, yet it convinced many--including the Nasdaq--that it had a booming business. As it happened, there were a great many people who knew what the CEO was, and shortly after he rung the opening (or closing; I forget which) bell, journalists jumped all over Pegasus, and it was delisted very, very quickly. Jay Knabb, the CEO, is currently doing a long stretch in federal prison.

But for awhile, he was a golden boy, and his company had many believers. It all began on the OTC. There've been other companies like it.

So in the end, we still don't know where this is going.
