#25471 RE: Tibby #25469

My thoughts Tibbs? Are you serious????

This literally was like reading a three stooges script with one of the stooges missing.....I can't picture even the longest of longs....after that fiasco....thinking ANYTHING but it is over for Johnson, JL......and their "investment".

As pointed out by Kitman on stockhouse....this statement out of the transcript sums it up....

"My friends live in some kind of alternative reality where they say documents exist that simply do not exist. Staff have never seen any Supreme Court decision in Mr. Lopehandia's favour -- period."

Hmmmm.....now where have we heard THAT before? Oh....that's right....ME! YKR RIGHT YET AGAIN!!!!!

That hearing transcript is extremely insightful. Among the many obvious inaccuracies and assertions mentioned throughout the hearing, two things seem painfully obvious to me:

1. Brent relied heavily... almost entirely... on Jorge to lead him and to guide him on the things he said; and IMO he would've been completely lost on what paperwork to submit, what questions to ask, and what documents to provide in order to support his own defense. That reliance on Jorge will be his downfall IMO.

and 2. Jorge has a remarkable "gift of the gab", which he used constantly during his colourful oratory... resulting in numerous interruptions from the Chair to stop him from providing his own opinions and to simply comply with the hearing stipulation of stating just facts. Unfortunately for Brent, I think the Chair and the panel weren't fooled by anything they heard and have the true facts to rely on for their decisions.

Given all of their combined years involved in hearings and passing judgements, I would love to know what the panel members, the Chair, and the BCSC lawyers actually thought of the performance of these 2 individuals. If they were being polite, I'll bet the word "unique" would be in the description somewhere.

I would be considering what new career choice to pursue this fall if I was in BJ's shoes.
