I've been doing it for years.

It's my "pay your own dividend plan" method of investing. Micron doesn't pay dividends, so sell some Calls once in a while and pay yourself.

When selling options regularly, with both Puts and Calls, you discover that you aren't so obsessed with the trading range of the shares because you can make good money all the time no matter which direction the stock goes. If the stock really starts to tank, you won't feel so bad about taking some of the earlier profits to buy protective Puts, making your trade a sort of Put Spread.
